A growing number of Americans have made it clear that they are fed up and willing to take action to make sure that our country’s economy and elected leaders work for the 99%, not just the 1%. Thousands of people have been out in the streets because Wall Street and big corporations crashed our economy, causing record numbers of Americans to lose their jobs and struggle to get by—and it’s past time for them to take responsibility.
People around the country are taking action to make sure big corporations do the right thing for our country—not just their shareholders. We are calling on companies to pay their fair share in taxes, create—and stop killing—good jobs here in our communities, to end the shameful income gap between CEOs and everyone else, and to take corporate money out of our democracy. By using our strength in numbers, the 99% are standing up to corporate America and Wall Street so we can have an economy that works for everyone, not just the 1%.
